Pro-Russian Group Claims Norway’s Biggest Public-Services Cyberattack

Pro-Russian hacker group Server Killers claimed responsibility on Telegram for a distributed denial-of-service attack on Norwegian public digital services, while authorities had not attributed it. Digdir said the attack began at 03:38 CEST on August 24, affected ID-porten, MinID, Altinn-linked services and other shared systems, and was the biggest attack it had experienced. Services were briefly unavailable and otherwise slowed or disrupted, but remained available most of the time. Digdir reported no indication of intrusion, a security breach or lost personal data; PST, NSM and Kripos were involved in monitoring or investigation.
