Two Camp Glilot Pharmacists Arrested Over Suspected Black-Market Medicine Sales

Two veteran pharmacists working at Camp Glilot were arrested after a months-long covert investigation into suspected diversion of medicines intended for IDF soldiers. The Defense Ministry said the camp’s responsible pharmacist and another external provider are suspected of taking tens of thousands of medicines, including prescription drugs, and selling them on the black market for tens of thousands of shekels. The joint inquiry involved Defense Ministry security investigators, Military Police and the Health Ministry Enforcement Division, and additional suspects were questioned. Investigators plan to request detention extensions at Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court as they examine theft, fraud, negligence and Pharmacy Ordinance offenses.
