Ayman Safadi je ministr zahraničí Jordánska a během války jeden z nejostřejších kritiků Izraele na státní úrovni.
Bylo mi ctí předat pozdravy Jeho Veličenstva krále Abdalláha II. jeho bratru, Jeho Excelenci prezidentu Ahmadu al-Šarovi, prezidentovi bratrské Syrské arabské republiky, a poselství Jeho Veličenstva, které potvrdilo strategickou povahu jordánsko-syrských vztahů a snahu rozvíjet je v komplexní dvoustrannou spolupráci a pokračující koordinaci v otázkách regionu. Jeho Excelence prezident opětoval pozdravy Jeho Veličenstvu králi a potvrdil pokračování v posilování pevných bratrských vztahů, které spojují obě bratrské země, a prohlubování spolupráce při řešení společných výzev. Vedl jsem rozsáhlé rozhovory s Jeho Excelencí bratrem Asadem Šajbáním @AsaadHShaibani, které odrážely naši společnou vůli navázat na pokračující rozvoj vztahů a rostoucí spolupráci ve prospěch obou bratrských zemí. Hovořili jsme o regionální situaci a úsilí zaměřeném na upevnění bezpečnosti a stability. Potvrdili jsme význam provádění společné cestovní mapy týkající se syrské provincie Suvajda. Upevnění stability na jihu Sýrie je společnou prioritou. Bezpečnost Sýrie je bezpečností Jordánska a její stabilita je pilířem stability regionu. Plně stojíme při bratrské Sýrii, která s důvěrou kráčí cestou obnovy svobodné, bezpečné, stabilní a jednotné syrské vlasti naplňující aspirace bratrského syrského lidu, a vyjadřujeme s ní solidaritu tváří v tvář všemu, co ohrožuje její bezpečnost, stabilitu a územní celistvost. Děkuji Jeho Excelenci bratru Asadovi za vřelé přijetí a bratrský a hluboký dialog.
Přeloženo z jazyka arabštinaWe welcome the measures announced today by the British government against unlawful Israeli actions and policies that consolidate occupation, undermine the two-state solution and perpetuate injustice. We thank the British government for standing up for what is right. We also thank Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden for announcing their intention to take similar measures and reaffirming their support for the two-state solution. We thank Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, and other countries for the actions they have already taken. Settlements, settler terrorism, land confiscation, the inhumane treatment of Palestinians and the strangulation of the Palestinian economy will not bring peace and security. Nor will violations of the historic and legal status quo at Jerusalem’s Muslim and Christian holy sites. There is only one path to a just and lasting peace that guarantees security for all: Ending the unlawful occupation of Palestine and implementing the two-state solution. Systematic violations of international law and measures that undermine the prospects for peace cannot be allowed to stand. The international community must take effective action to stop the Israeli government from further undermining the two-state solution and the right of all peoples of the region to live in peace and security. The Israeli government must face real consequences for its radical policies and violation of international law. It must not be allowed to condemn the region and all its peoples to more wars and suffering.
The Israeli government is pushing the West Bank towards explosion. Its blatant violations of the historical and legal status quo at Jerusalem’s Holy Sites are illegal and dangerous provocations. They are pushing the region towards another disastrous conflcit that will reverberate beyond the occupied Palestinian Territories. The international community must act effectively and quickly against these Israeli measures before it is too late.
