V Maarabu, kde se nevzpomínka pouze obnovuje, ale obnovují se také závazek a poslání, se bývalá ministryně Dr. May Chidiacová zúčastnila každoroční mše za mučedníky libanonského odporu a vzpomněla na mučedníky, kteří padli při obraně Libanonu, jeho svobody a suverenity. Předseda strany Libanonské síly Dr. Samir Geagea při této příležitosti zdůraznil, že oběti mučedníků nebyly obranou prchavého okamžiku, nýbrž Libanonu, v který věříme: svobodné vlasti zakořeněné v její identitě, sebevědomé ohledně své budoucnosti a pevně trvající na svém právu rozhodovat o vlastním osudu. Z Maarabu, za „úsvitu suverenity“, se závazek obnovuje: Nebudeme smlouvat o Libanonu, nezapomeneme na jeho mučedníky a neustoupíme od jeho práva na plně suverénní stát, svobodný v rozhodování, který chrání své občany, střeží své hranice a staví zájmy Libanonu nade vše. Sláva a věčná památka našim spravedlivým mučedníkům.

Former Minister Dr. May Chidiac attended the 16th Mass Wedding Ceremony, organized by the Maronite League’s Committee for Social Affairs and Internal Activities, under the patronage of His Beatitude and Eminence Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, at Bkerke, in her capacity as a member of the Political Committee of the Maronite League. At a time when challenges abound, marriage and family remain an act of faith and a commitment to staying rooted. This initiative reaffirms that holding on to our land, building our families, and raising a responsible generation in Lebanon are among the most meaningful ways to preserve our presence and our mission. Hilde Haraldstad, Ambassador of Norway to Lebanon, to convey her deepest condolences following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. On this solemn occasion, Dr. Chidiac signed the Book of Condolences, leaving a heartfelt message expressing her sympathy and solidarity with the Norwegian people and the Royal Family during this time of mourning, while affirming the depth of the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Norway.
