ASIAN STUDENTS MARK 25TH YEAR OF MAKING ROBOTS More than 600 young people travelled to Hong Kong from 16 places across Asia for an international competition called ABU Robocon this week. A NOTORIOUS CHINA-DEMONIZER hit out the demonizing of China today, surprising people in the rising Asian nation. “China is just a useful weapon to bash your domestic enemy with,” said Bethany Allen, quoted in this morning’s South China Morning Post. “It’s just removed from reality.” This is an interesting admission. . CREATIVE FEARMONGERING Ms Allen is head of China Investigations and Analysis at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, the notorious ASPI. The group, which is sponsored by weapons firms and western war offices, specializes in wildly creative fearmongering about China. This justifies the steering of the Australian public’s money to US arms manufacturers. Her quote appears this morning in an article about the US government falsely attributing the American public’s opposition to excessive data-center building as some sort of Chinese plot. But the words she uses describes ASPI’s modus operandi perfectly: China is “just a useful weapon” and what is said about China is “just removed from reality.” . DEBUNKED HOAX ASPI was a key player in the widely debunked Uyghur genocide hoax—the first genocide in history where the so-called victims group expanded much faster than the so-called perpetrators! ASPI was also widely quoted in the marshalling of support for of AUKUS, a ruinous deal in which Australian taxpayers pay an eye-watering AU$368 billion for US military equipment, some of it second hand, which comes with a clause saying it may never even be delivered. The AUKUS contract can be summarized in a single sentence: “We promise to pay; the seller promises nothing.” . OUR CLAIMS DISMISSED In recent years, independent journalists - not mainstream ones - reported that dozens of so-called “pro-democracy NGOs” in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the US, all attacking China, were secretly funded by US groups such as USAID and NED and the CIA.
