The International Organization for Migration said more than 2,000 people fleeing Yemen had reached Djibouti by Sunday, with the first arrivals landing Thursday evening. Djibouti's Economy and Finance Minister Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh had reported about 1,400 arrivals on Saturday. He said the navy, coast guard and other agencies were conducting rescue operations and providing emergency assistance. The arrivals followed renewed fighting along Yemen's Red Sea coast, while IOM's contemporaneous count put internal displacement since the start of September above 82,000 people.
