تشرفت بنقل تحيات جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني إلى أخيه فخامة الرئيس أحمد الشرع، رئيس الجمهورية العربية السورية الشقيقة، ورسالة من جلالته أكدت استراتيجية العلاقات الأردنية- السورية والحرص على تطويرها تعاونا ثنائيا شاملا، وتنسيقا مستمرا إزاء القضايا الاقليمية. بعث فخامة الرئيس تحياته إلى جلالة الملك، وأكد المضي في تعزيز العلاقات الأخوية الراسخة التي تجمع البلدين الشقيقين، وتعميق التعاون في مواجهة التحديات المشتركة. وأجريت محادثات موسعة مع معالي الأخ أسعد الشيباني @AsaadHShaibani عكست إرادتنا المشتركة البناء على ما تشهده العلاقات من تطور مستمر وتعاون متنام يخدم مصالح البلدين الشقيقين. بحثنا الأوضاع الاقليمية والجهود المستهدفة ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار. أكدنا أهمية تنفيذ خريطة الطريق المشتركة بشأن محافظة السويداء السورية. تكريس الاستقرار في الجنوب السوري أولوية مشتركة. أمن سوريا من أمن الأردن، واستقرارها ركيزة لاستقرار المنطقة. نقف بالمطلق إلى جانب سوريا الشقيقة وهي تتقدم بثقة على طريق إعادة بناء الوطن السوري الحر، الآمن، المستقر، الموحد الذي يلبي طموحات الشعب السوري الشقيق، ونتضامن معها في مواجهة كل ما يهدد أمنها واستقرارها ووحدة أراضيها. أشكر معالي الأخ أسعد على طيب الاستقبال وأخوية الحوار وعمقه.
We welcome the measures announced today by the British government against unlawful Israeli actions and policies that consolidate occupation, undermine the two-state solution and perpetuate injustice. We thank the British government for standing up for what is right. We also thank Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden for announcing their intention to take similar measures and reaffirming their support for the two-state solution. We thank Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, and other countries for the actions they have already taken. Settlements, settler terrorism, land confiscation, the inhumane treatment of Palestinians and the strangulation of the Palestinian economy will not bring peace and security. Nor will violations of the historic and legal status quo at Jerusalem’s Muslim and Christian holy sites. There is only one path to a just and lasting peace that guarantees security for all: Ending the unlawful occupation of Palestine and implementing the two-state solution. Systematic violations of international law and measures that undermine the prospects for peace cannot be allowed to stand. The international community must take effective action to stop the Israeli government from further undermining the two-state solution and the right of all peoples of the region to live in peace and security. The Israeli government must face real consequences for its radical policies and violation of international law. It must not be allowed to condemn the region and all its peoples to more wars and suffering.
The Israeli government is pushing the West Bank towards explosion. Its blatant violations of the historical and legal status quo at Jerusalem’s Holy Sites are illegal and dangerous provocations. They are pushing the region towards another disastrous conflcit that will reverberate beyond the occupied Palestinian Territories. The international community must act effectively and quickly against these Israeli measures before it is too late.
