Today I led a @houseforeigngop hearing about the threat posed by the Iran-backed Houthis to American national security, our allies, and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. Iran has armed, funded, and trained the Houthis, enabling them to attack Americans, threaten our partners, and disrupt global commerce. We must dismantle the networks that sustain these terrorists and ensure Iran and its proxies cannot dictate who can safely navigate international waters.
Congratulations to my friend @RepMoskowitz on his appointment as Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa. As Chair, I look forward to partnering with him to protect America’s interests in the region, combat Iran and its malign influence and terror proxy network, and stand resolute in support of a strong US-Israel relationship.
