The enduring threat is obvious yet the British government seeks to appease Islamic jihadists for domestic electoral gain by siding with them over Israel, one of our most important allies. Ever since General Allenby captured Jerusalem from the Turks over 100 years ago Britain has had an official presence in the city. That now ends thanks to the British government’s diplomatic campaign against Israel, resulting in Israel closing down the British consulate in Jerusalem. By the way, Allenby’s WW1 campaign in the Holy Land included the Jewish Legion, (Jewish units of the British Army) and NILI, a Jewish intelligence organization which provided invaluable information to Allenby on Turkish forces.

The Burnham-Miliband sanctions will have negligible economic effect on Israel. But they will incite even greater Jew hate and potentially violence by jihadists and their useful idiots in Britain. They will damage relations with the US causing potential economic harm to the UK. They are also deliberately intended to constitute electoral interference in Israel.

There’s only 2 problems with that: (1) It applies to forced population transfer. (2) Judea & Samaria are not occupied territory. They have been Israeli sovereign territory since the end of the Mandate not withstanding the illegal Jordanian occupation. Same applies to Gaza.

China is funding pro-Hamas activity in the UK and US, including protests, including via NGOs. The purpose is 2-fold: (1) to sew division & destablise the West; (2) to undermine Israel which is a crucial bulwark against Chinese dominance in the Middle East.
