Maybe it has something to do with invading a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and not having a backup plan, so people had to flee because your original plan turned it into a destination for the same group that carried out 9/11. Millions of Innocent Muslims were killed in the process and displaced by Al-Qaeda and Iran-backed militias, so they ended up coming to you.
Yesterday, I was speaking to my sister and said: “It seems the U.S. and many other countries are treating Al-Sharaa as if he’s a changed man.” Her voice filled with anger she replied: “Even if the whole world forgives Al-Sharaa and says he’s changed, I won’t. I was almost killed by his organization. I will never forget coming home from school when the Harthiya bombing happened in Baghdad. At the time, Al-Sharaa was part of Al-Qaeda in Iraq and involved in its terrorist campaign. I still remember seeing a mother crossing the street with her two children. Then, in an instant, the windows of my car were covered in blood and human flesh.” This is the man people now shamelessly quote as “proof” of what Arab Muslims supposedly think.
Just like every year, I post to remind the world: never forget the innocent lives murdered by Al-Qaeda terrorists on 9/11. Unlike those who use this tragedy to wage war and hatred against Muslims who had nothing to do with the attack, honor the victims without exploiting their deaths for an anti-American agenda. 🚨 LATEST DEVELOPMENT IN YEMEN Reuters, citing two Yemeni government sources, reports that the Iran-aligned Houthis have reached Zuqar and the Greater and Lesser Hanish Islands in the southern Red Sea after taking control of Al-Makha, seizing areas that were previously under the Yemeni Forces control. The move would significantly expand the Houthis’ presence near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, one of the world’s most important shipping chokepoints, connecting the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, the Gulf, and major trade routes to Asia. Yemeni and Saudi sources, however, are presenting the development differently. They claim the Houthis were deliberately allowed to advance into exposed coastal and island positions as part of a military deception designed to draw their forces into areas vulnerable to sustained airstrikes. According to those sources, the withdrawal of Yemeni government forces from parts of the western coast was intended to lure Houthi units into the open before launching a counteroffensive to retake Al-Makha, Hays, and other coastal areas. Shortly afterward, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that a military operation would begin using all kinds of weapons systems against Houthi movements and warned civilians to avoid the Taiz–Al-Makha road, publishing a map of the area to be avoided. The battle has entered a much more dangerous phase: the Houthis’ advance toward the Hanish Islands places the confrontation directly alongside international shipping lanes in the Red Sea, making this an international problem.

The IRGC doesn’t care about Gaza anymore 🤷🏽♀️. Their demand now is keeping their militias entrenched in Lebanon and Yemen. And keep in mind: in Yemen, it is Yemenis themselves who are fighting the Houthis not Israel. Yet @cenkuygur @hasanthehun and @AnaKasparian keep framing this as “Netanyahu’s war” as if every conflict in the region somehow begins and ends with Israel when it’s clearly Iran-IRGC responsible for all of them.

“We were told that we would be fighting ISIS, America, and Israel.” This is the evil of the mullah regime in Iran on full display: recruiting child soldiers, sending them to kill their fellow Yemenis, and teaching them that Sunnis = ISIS. Since I was a child, I’ve been obsessed with ancient history, especially Mesopotamia and Egyptology. I also studied the deeper history of the Middle East in Iraqi schools, but it was often taught through the lens of Arab nationalism, so I never fully trusted that version of it. Since then, I’ve continued reading, researching, and questioning everything. Thank God for the tools we have today, because they’ve allowed me to dig deeper and learn far more than I ever could before. But even after years of reading and researching almost every day, I still know how much I don’t know. And part of that is because what we call “history” is often just fragments accounts written by people who had their own loyalties, biases, rulers, nations, religions, and political causes, much like people today tell history through the lens of whatever side they support. That should make all of us more humble. If someone has only studied history through the narrow lens of their own nation or religion, how can they speak about it with absolute authority? We are all ignorant of huge parts of the past. This is why we need nuance, curiosity, debates and humility more than ever.
I love you @emilykschrader but I must correct you on one point “Arabs did not arrive in the Levant for the first time with the Islamic conquests.” Arabs are recorded in and around the Levant at least as early as the 9th century BCE over 1,400 years before the Islamic conquests. 9th century BCE: Assyrian records mention Arabs in the Syrian desert/Levantine frontier. The famous example is Gindibu the Arab, who fought at the Battle of Qarqar in 853 BCE as part of a coalition against Shalmaneser III. 8th–7th centuries BCE: Assyrian inscriptions repeatedly mention Arab tribes and queens operating across northern Arabia, Transjordan, and the Syrian desert. 4th century BCE onward: The Nabataeans, an Arab people, become prominent in southern Jordan, the Negev, and southern Syria, eventually ruling from Petra. 3rd–6th centuries CE: Arab federations such as the Tanukhids and Ghassanids are firmly established in the Levant, with the Ghassanids serving as Byzantine allies in Syria and Jordan. I’ve studied this history in school but I researched it again just to make sure.

All Arabs are in an uproar over the UN envoy to Yemen, accusing him of protecting the terrorist Houthis, and he is. But here’s the real question: when Israel told you the same thing about the UN shielding Hamas, why did you refuse to listen? The UN serves the mullah regime in Iran. I said it years ago.
