Zambia Police Confirm Treason Charges Against Election Runner-Up

Zambia Police spokesman Godfrey Chilabi confirmed that Brian Mundubile, his running mate Makebi Zulu and 16 others were formally charged with treason on August 29. Mundubile, the runner-up in the August 13 presidential election, and Zulu have been in police custody since August 27.
