Україна запропонувала партнерам забезпечити таку домовленість із Росією, яка зупинить знищення критичної інфраструктури. Продовольство, енергетика та інші елементи базового гарантування життя повинні бути під захистом, і російські удари направлені передусім проти цього. Щодня мішенями стають українські об’єкти енергетики, портова інфраструктура, логістика, навіть склади з продовольством і фармацевтикою. Україна не впевнена, що Росія має бажання дотримуватись будь-якої домовленості. Якщо партнери готові забезпечити реальне бажання Росії не бити по нашій електриці, інших наших енергетичних об’єктах, критичній інфраструктурі, руху продовольства, то ми, звісно, готові забезпечити відповідну відсутність наших ударів. Щоб це було надійно, довгостроково й мало реальний ефект для життя людей, а не зірвалось після того, як росіяни проведуть свої «вибори» й отримають саме на цей час послаблення напруги щодо бензину й дизелю. Війну треба закінчувати. І деескалаційний крок щодо критичної інфраструктури може бути першим кроком до миру. Очікуємо від партнерів конкретики.
Ukraine has proposed that its partners secure an agreement with Russia that would stop the destruction of critical infrastructure. Food, energy, and other basics that sustain life must be protected, and Russian strikes are directed primarily against them. Every day, Ukrainian energy facilities, port infrastructure, logistics, and even warehouses storing food and pharmaceuticals are targeted. Ukraine is not convinced that Russia is willing to abide by any agreement. If our partners are ready to ensure that Russia genuinely refrains from striking our electricity system, other energy facilities, critical infrastructure, and food supply routes, then, of course, we are ready to ensure a corresponding halt to our strikes. So that it is reliable, long-term, has a real impact on people’s lives, and does not fall apart after the Russians hold their “elections” and get an easing of pressure on gasoline and diesel precisely for that period. The war must be brought to an end. And a de-escalatory step regarding critical infrastructure could be the first step toward peace. We expect specifics from our partners.
I presented awards to our warriors on Tank Troops Day. Among them were tank personnel who defended our country during the Kyiv and Kharkiv operations, fought in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, and took part in the Kursk operation. Thank you for your service and for all these difficult days of the full-scale war. We appreciate having such true warriors – absolutely heroic, strong people. Thank you! Glory to Ukraine!
Reports on countering Russian “shaheds” and our work with manufacturers on a new generation of drone interceptors – to defend against jet-powered “shaheds.” There are solutions, and testing is underway. We are accelerating all processes. Ukraine needs a working defense solution in sufficient numbers and with the required effectiveness. Together with Minister of Defense Yevhenii Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, we discussed steps that could deliver results faster. The financial foundation for this work has been secured. There were also reports on the situation at the front – we are defending our positions and doing so actively. I am especially grateful to our warriors in the Donetsk region – the 3rd Army Corps, the 66th and 125th Mechanized Brigades, and the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade. Glory to Ukraine!

There is only one path for this Prosecutor General: removal from office. That is what I told him. Ukraine has seen all the reasons why. If he considers this political pressure, he is free to call it that. I ask parliamentarians to support his removal without delay.
This week alone, Russia launched around 2,100 drones against Ukraine – a significant share of them jet-powered “shaheds,” which the Russians are using in an attempt to cripple the economy and destroy people’s lives. The enemy also used nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 78 missiles of various types. Last night and this morning, energy facilities, Ukrzaliznytsia, businesses, and ordinary residential buildings came under attack. Odesa was attacked with missiles and drones. Recovery efforts are ongoing in many western regions following the overnight strikes. In particular, all necessary services are working near the Polish-Ukrainian border in Volyn, where the Russians deliberately burned a train locomotive and damaged a gas station in a drone strike. It is precisely to prevent these strikes from spreading further into Europe that Ukrainian men and women fight every day, give their lives, and do not allow the aggression to expand. Russian terrorism is a common threat to many, but it definitely can and must be defeated in Ukraine. Thank you to everyone contributing to the protection of Ukraine’s skies and supporting our people.
Usmanov and Fridman are exactly the kind of Russian business figures who need to find the courage to take concrete steps against the war. This is exactly the kind of Russian economy that should not be given additional opportunities while the Ukrainian economy is suffering from Russian terror and Putin’s refusal to stop the war. With 500 “shaheds” a day, this is certainly not the time to even begin the discussion about easing sanctions – especially sanctions against individuals about whom no one can say how exactly they have helped protect lives and reduce Putin’s ability to continue the war. We need to keep up comprehensive pressure on Russia for its war. Strengthen sanctions against Russia instead of weakening Ukraine! I thank everyone who is helping! (3/3)
Russian businesses that pay taxes into the war budget, and Russian oligarchs without whom Putin’s system is impossible to imagine, must feel that there is no place in the world where they can live in peace and quiet for as long as this war continues. From day one of the war, our partners’ sanctions regimes have been designed to prevent the Russian leadership from promising co-opted businessmen that they will not feel the consequences of the war. Sanctions must continue to work in a way that creates a clear demand from Russian businesses toward the Russian leadership to end the war and its policy of hatred toward Russia’s neighbors and Europe. When the Ukrainian economy is simply a target for Russia, this is certainly not the time for Europe to treat Russian oligarchs as friends. When Russia uses every euro and dollar to prolong the war, it is both immoral and suicidal to give Russian businesses opportunities to live their lives without feeling the consequences of the war. Russian drone attacks continue throughout the day today, and “shaheds” are still in the sky right now. Nearly 500 attack drones have already been launched since morning. Essentially, the Russians have expanded this war from the front lines, where they cannot achieve success, into the economy, and their tactics are as primitive as they get – destroying every facility that can help people withstand the conditions of war. The Russians are burning warehouses with food and gas stations, pharmaceutical facilities and ordinary passenger trains, residential buildings and civilian businesses… Just in the past few days, they have struck a steel plant owned by an Indian business, an American company that produced sunflower oil, and a Polish company that manufactured plumbing fixtures. Russian attacks have targeted truck parking lots, ports, shopping malls, and energy infrastructure. Russia wants to kill the Ukrainian economy and, through that, break our resistance. And it is important that these Russian strikes be met not only with justified responses, but also with the necessary moral and political condemnation from our partners. (1/3)

The first Drone Deal with a country in the Americas will be with Canada. In Alberta, together with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, we looked at the drones that will be among the first to be used under this agreement. Canada is ready to place large orders, and 30% of the production will be transferred to Ukraine. Of course, right now we need to find and scale up solutions to protect Ukraine from jet-powered “shaheds.” We are working on this and will share our developments and solutions with our partners. I don’t think we will have negotiations before parliamentary “elections” in Russia end. But at the end of September, we will have an opportunity to meet with an American team in New York. Meanwhile, our teams are in touch. And I hope we can be more open about all of this after a meeting with President Trump. When we speak about the potential outcome of a trilateral meeting, our partners are now raising the issue of exports of grain and other agricultural goods that Russia blocks in the Black Sea. We responded and did the same. We have to respond, otherwise Russia will never stop this war, because it will never feel it. Same with energy. Last month, I had important conversations with Egypt, India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Everybody understands that the blockade of food for the world – for the people – is a big challenge. Not only for Ukraine and Russia, but globally. All of this is up to Russia. I’m not sure they can show flexibility in these matters. But strong leaders of the world can move them to the right position, even if they don’t like it. From the press conference with Mark Carney.
Overall, today’s arrangements amount to more than $2 billion – including a government package of more than $1 billion for our defense, primarily to protect our skies: missiles for Patriots, munitions for F-16s, and drone coproduction. There are also arrangements for our energy sector and our joint initiatives. Ukraine and Canada will always be friends and will always make each other stronger. I am grateful to Canada for our energy arrangements – this is important. We have concrete arrangements in the energy sector that will strengthen us both ahead of this winter and over the longer term. Canada is also ready to support our Ukrainian veterans. I am grateful to Canada for the new defense package. Above all, it will strengthen our air defense – both our Patriots and our combat aircraft, which down Russian jet-powered “shaheds.” Our pilots are also being trained here in Canada – 21 Ukrainians are undergoing training, and this will be a significant reinforcement – together with other countries that are training our people at various stages to operate combat aircraft. I am grateful to Canada and Prime Minister @MarkJCarney for talks that are always substantive and focused on what can help protect lives right now. We discussed in detail the options for ensuring Ukraine’s financial resilience this year and next. Thank you for your readiness to help secure the necessary financing for our budget needs and for our warriors. I also spoke about the virtually constant Russian ballistic missile and drone strikes. Mark assured me that Canada is ready to join our European anti-ballistic missile program FREYJA with its technologies. This is a necessary and timely step. There will also be additional defense deliveries. Of course, we also had a meaty discussion about promising bilateral projects in defense and the economy. Today in our city of Pavlohrad, the Russians killed people with drones who were simply near shopping malls. As of now, four people have been reported killed… My condolences to their families and loved ones. More than 60 people were wounded in this strike alone. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. Dozens of people were also wounded in Kramatorsk by Russian bombs that struck residential buildings. Other cities and communities in the Dnipro and Donetsk regions, as well as the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions, also came under attack. In the evening, Dnipro and Kyiv were also targeted. We are working as intensively as possible with our partners so that we can protect Ukrainians from this Russian terror. Today, there will be decisions on additional support packages for Ukraine, including defense assistance and support specifically for protecting our skies. We are also preparing additional support packages. The world sees what Russia is doing. And Ukraine will have support. One hundred percent of our attention is focused on this now – concrete strengthening of our defense, concrete funding for defense, and concrete opportunities for weapons manufacturers to protect lives. Over the past 24 hours, our warriors struck eight Russian infrastructure facilities supporting the war. An oil refinery in the Yamalo-Nenets region and a seaport in Dagestan were hit. Sites in the Moscow, Voronezh, Astrakhan, and Bryansk regions were also struck. Russia continues its daily terror against Ukraine. And every day, it receives a just response. I thank every warrior and everyone who enables our long-range capabilities and precision.
Arrived in Canada. Canada has been and remains one of our closest partners. We value all the support from Canadians and the decisions that help Ukraine stand strong and protect our people. Important meetings and agreements are planned that will shape our cooperation and solidify the already strategic level of our relationship for years to come.
