Court Places Yossi Mosli Under House Arrest Until Yom Kippur

The Tel Aviv District Court ordered organized-crime figure Yossi Mosli into house arrest until the eve of Yom Kippur, in the first reported use of Israel's 2024 crime-organization restriction law against a Jewish criminal organization. Mosli may remain at his father's Kfar Shalem home through Sunday before moving to Savyon, and Judge Shai Yaniv also barred him from messaging apps. Police linked the request to a violent conflict between the Mosli and Jarushi organizations, relying on classified intelligence after investigators lacked sufficient admissible evidence for an indictment. Mosli's lawyers opposed the measure, while police cited his 11 convictions and more than 5,400 days served in prison.
