It is not enough that I have to deal with insufferable Palestinian diaspora activists like Susan Abulhawa and her likes; I also have to read posts from white and Jewish Americans telling the world "Palestinians don't need Israelis to tell their stories." Well, thank you so much for telling us. We truly didn't know. Congrats, you are welcomed to the anti-colonial group now. So stupid and completely dumb. Ultimately, it will be Palestinians back home and Israelis who oppose apartheid who will build the future in Palestine and Israel. Western activists, with all due respect, are irrelevant compared to them, and this includes the Palestinian diaspora, myself included.
Full support to our Christian brothers and sisters in Syria as they face persecution at the hands of jihadists
Someone needs to write about the unintentional alliance between Zionists and anti-Zionists in targeting the few decent Israeli journalists, like Yuval and his colleagues. I suggest calling it the "blue-watermelon alliance."
The only thing that made Soruju or Deek Israeli citizens while Christians like myself are stateless Palestinians is mere chance. It is by mere chance that Deek's family was not ethnically cleansed in 1948, as was the case for some of my relatives who became Arab citizens of Israel. However, Deek is so grateful his family wasn't kicked out that he does not care about countless Christians, including other Deek family members, who were kicked out of Jaffa and other towns.
Announcement: David decided to become "indigenous" to the Middle East.
A textbook of what Israel first means:
You fat ass won't pass a basic physical test, and you will be crying, “They hate me because I am a Zionist.'"
I will never defend the morality of Hamas taking civilians as hostages even if they “offered to release them” afterward. However, what was always clear is that Israel was interested in genocide not the release of the hostages and this was clear from day one
Israel provides child allowances and universal healthcare to all its citizens. Ben Shapiro supports these rights for Israelis but not for Americans, which is truly alarming and sickening!
What is fascinating is that the same people who deny the ethnic cleansing in 1948 are the same people who are now advocating for the ethnic cleansing in Gaza https://t.co/M78FU9EyJ6
"Voluntary immigration" for Palestinians isn't a new concept. It's simply coded language for the same ethnic cleansing enforced in 1948. Denying the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people makes you the equivalent of a flat-earther on this issue.
In which Israeli legal scholar asks us to live in an alternative reality in which Palestinian towns are being established to harass Israeli colonies?
I am not part of this debate or any personal conflict. However, Mehdi did offer me the chance to debate Ahmed’s ideas, which I accepted, and I remain open to debating Ahmed anytime. That said, I have no interest in personal insults or conflicts with Ahmed or anyone else. I am always ready to debate ideas anytime and anywhere. For the record, I do not consider myself an "activist", I am not even sure what that word means anymore. However, my background speaks for itself: I lived in Palestine until 2021, including time in Gaza where I was arrested by Hamas multiple times. Rather than allowing my personal story to dictate all my views, I chose to use my experiences to inform my academic work. I hold an MA in Comparative Politics from American University, with a focus on Islamist movements in the region. As for my view on Hamas, I always describe it as follows: "Hamas is the worst thing to ever happen to the Palestinians after the occupation." My criticism of Hamas has nothing to do with their Islamism, although I am critical of that, but rather with their authoritarianism, war crimes, and complete failure on the Palestinian national level. That being said, if Hamas disappears tomorrow, Israel will not change, nor will the occupation end. This is not just a prediction; Israeli leaders themselves say it out in the open.
Had my second TV debate this week on settler terrorism with an Israeli legal scholar, who argued that settlers' attacks are merely minor crimes like property damage rather than terrorism. I asked him if "property damage" includes burning a house with its residents inside. I truly don't know where they find these people. People who would defend the indefensible!
This has always been their plan and the PA knows this and would never allow itself to be as foolish as Hamas, which would lead to full ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. The PA has so much problems but understanding Israel and it's brutality isn't one of them
This is complete nonsense. A) This is West Gaza, an expensive area affordable only to the upper and upper-middle class. I know because I lived there. B) Even residents of that area still suffered from the Israeli siege and a lack of freedom.
Oh, the horror “Free Palestine” How can the audience survive this? We gotta do something about that @AIPAC @ADL perhaps a German-like restriction on freedom of speech?
Israel is a criminal state
Was any Palestinian journalist allowed in the press conference? A genuine question
The majority of Palestinians who oppose Hamas, both in Gaza and abroad have their priorities right: 1) they oppose the occupation and the genocide, and 2) they acknowledge that Hamas has been destructive. Any opinion that does not put those points in order is neither empirical nor representative of Palestinians, including those who despise Hamas.
This is a myth. No black neighborhoods in Gaza and Afro-Palestinians are well assimilated within Gaza. Yes unfortunately there is anti-blackness and racism like the rest of the region but it is far from being systematic on any level
Believe all Jews? What the hell does this even mean? Does @JGreenblattADL want us for example to believe Jewish terrorists who are targeting Palestinians villages in the West Bank? What a stupid and abusive thing to say
