Iran Political-Prisoner Executions Nearly Triple to 47 in 2026

Iran Human Rights said authorities are exploiting wartime international attention to intensify internal repression. Its director, Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, said records show every political prisoner executed in the past three months was convicted on confessions obtained after torture, without fair proceedings or access to counsel of choice.
