Nuclear Iran and Internal Violence Top Israelis' Five-Year Threat List

New INSS surveys presented Monday found that 39% of Israelis chose both violent conflict between social groups and Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon among the country’s three leading five-year threats. A large-scale missile attack was third at 35%, while 61% rated that scenario highly likely to occur. The share assigning a high likelihood to loss of U.S. support doubled from 13% in February to 26% in July. The research compared representative surveys conducted in February and July and assessed seven national threats by centrality, likelihood and potential damage.
