Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Has Better Drones Than Iran, Seeks Interceptors

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after meetings in Washington that Ukraine has better drones than Iran but lacks enough missile interceptors. He said he emphasized Ukraine's need for missile-defense systems and additional interceptors in talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and senators. Zelenskyy's official channel said the Oval Office discussion covered licenses for Ukraine to produce Patriot interceptors and other ideas to strengthen its defenses. The talks came as Iran's drone and missile campaign and the Russia-Ukraine war compete for limited Western air-defense stocks.
