Israel's Health Ministry ordered all medical activity at Medica Tel Aviv to stop on Monday evening following serious safety findings in a surprise inspection. The ministry said procedures had been performed beyond staff members' professional authority, alongside failures in medical practice and operating-room workflows. It described continued operation at 28 HaBarzel Street in Ramat HaHayal as an immediate, serious danger to patients. The district physician's closure order remains in force until further notice. The network's management, owners and board face a hearing, while individual measures against personnel are under consideration.
