The State of Israel is an independent news and reference publication: reported news updated throughout the day, plain-language explainers on how the state works (the Knesset, the economy, the IDF), and a community of readers. It is published in seventeen languages: English, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Korean, Thai, Ukrainian, Italian, Japanese, and Chinese.
We believe trust is checked, not claimed:
- Every story carries its list of sources, with primary sources emphasized. Claims are attributed to the people and institutions who made them.
- When outlets disagree, the story explains the disagreement, and shows where each cited publication sits politically.
Independent, and beholden to no one:
- The State of Israel is owned and funded by its publisher alone. It takes no money from any government, political party, campaign, donor or advertiser, carries no advertising, and publishes no sponsored content.
- The news is fact-based: what happened, who said it, and where the record is. Reported facts are kept separate from analysis, and no outside interest decides what is published.
