Deel Acquires Israeli Deepfake-Detection Startup Clarity

Deel has acquired Israeli AI cybersecurity startup Clarity, which develops identity-verification, deepfake-detection and fraud-prevention technology. Deel said it already used Clarity’s product and will embed continuous identity security across recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day workforce access. Clarity’s team, led by co-founder and CEO Michael Matias and co-founder and CTO Ziv Isaiah, will join the global workforce platform. The companies did not disclose the price; Israeli reporting estimated the cash-and-shares transaction at tens of millions of dollars. Clarity has raised $16 million since its 2022 founding.
