United States President Donald Trump denied reports that American munitions stockpiles have run low, writing on Truth Social that the country holds tremendous amounts of ammunition and that leakers of what he called treasonous statements would face long prison sentences. Senior American officials said Trump had privately complained that the disclosures make Washington look weak while he presses Iran toward an agreement, and that the issue dominated a cabinet meeting at Camp David. Trump also disputed accounts of a clash with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, saying he is satisfied with him. Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf mocked the threats in English, calling them theater diplomacy on loop.
