Jerusalem L3 Light Rail Opens Between HaTurim and Malha

Passenger service began Friday on Jerusalem’s L3 light-rail line, linking HaTurim on Jaffa Road with Malha over approximately seven kilometers and 13 stations, including 12 new stops. The line connects with L1 at HaTurim and near the Central Bus Station and Yitzhak Navon railway station. It serves the Government Quarter, Hebrew University’s Givat Ram campus, Botanical Garden, Teddy Stadium, Pais Arena, Malha Mall and nearby neighborhoods. The opening followed final international safety reviews and a Transport Ministry operating permit, with testing for the future L4 extension to Gilo expected next.
