Regev Orders External Inquiry Into Ben Gurion Airport Shutdown

The review will operate separately from an internal inquiry established by the Israel Airports Authority council after an urgent session. The authority's internal auditor will chair that inquiry with help from an independent external professional, and preliminary findings are due by the end of the week. Reports said the shutdown unfolded amid disputed claims, with management and the ministry alleging an unlawful work slowdown and union chairman Pinhas Idan citing staff shortages and worker exhaustion.
