South Korean Container Ship Begins First Arctic-Route Trial to Europe

The 2,758-TEU PanStar Acro left Busan on August 22 for South Korea's first container-shipping trial through the Northeast Passage and the first such voyage by a Korean carrier in a decade. The ship began the planned 45-day round trip with 837 TEU aboard, including 737 loaded containers. Its schedule calls for Felixstowe around September 9, Rotterdam on September 11, Gdansk on September 15 and a return to Busan on October 5.
