Wildfires in Colombia's Tolima department have burned more than 27,000 hectares, including nearly 8,000 hectares of agricultural land, according to the Agriculture Ministry. The department reported losses approaching 50 billion Colombian pesos and about 1,100 affected producers, along with 167,448 tonnes of pasture and 14,523 tonnes of food lost. Agriculture Minister Indalecio Dangond announced the Compromiso Tolima recovery plan, including hay for small livestock farmers, solar-powered deep wells and debt relief through December. The plan also assigns resources for 343 rural homes for families affected by the emergency.
