Australia’s Antisemitism Royal Commission Closes After 60 Hearing Days

Australia's Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion adjourned its public hearings in Sydney after more than 60 days of testimony from over 340 witnesses. Chabad of Bondi director Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, the final witness, dedicated much of his evidence to his son-in-law Rabbi Eli Schlanger, one of 15 people killed in the December 14, 2025 Bondi Beach terrorist attack. The commission received more than 20,000 submissions and 550,000 documents produced under notices. Commissioner Virginia Bell asked for the final report deadline to move from the attack's anniversary to December 18, 2026.
