South African Police Value 334kg Airport Cocaine Haul Above R200 Million

South African police say two cocaine consignments intercepted at OR Tambo International Airport totaled about 334kg and had a combined estimated street value above R200 million. Two suitcases held about 84kg, while four cargo boxes contained roughly 250kg packed into 220 blocks. The South African Revenue Service earlier recorded the more precise total as above 333kg and valued it at R167 million, saying both consignments arrived on the same flight from São Paulo. No arrests had been made when police issued their statement, and the case was handed to investigators for forensic processing.
