Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into alleged foreign-intelligence activity and a terrorism offence over the August 31 fire at a WB Electronics factory in Skarżysko-Kamienna. Prosecutors allege someone deliberately placed a charge containing flammable materials, destroying warehouse premises and causing at least 15 million złoty in damage. The Kraków-based prosecutor is conducting the case with the Internal Security Agency and Kielce provincial police; no person had been charged when the statement was issued. The cited criminal-code offences carry a possible maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
