New Zealand has secured the 2028 PSA Squash World Championships for Auckland, with the event scheduled for February at the New Zealand International Convention Centre. The government will invest NZ$1 million from the Major Events Fund, while Auckland Council Events will support delivery through Tātaki Auckland Unlimited. Organizers plan to stage matches on a glass court before squash makes its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games later that year. Tourism and Hospitality Minister Louise Upston said hosting will let New Zealand players compete against leading international players at home and attract visitors.
