IDF Official Says Shin Bet Is Doing Minimum Against Settler Violence

A senior IDF official said Shin Bet’s Jewish Division is doing “very little” and only “the minimum” to curb growing settler violence against Palestinians in Judea and Samaria. The official said five new outposts were established in the preceding week and that 160 demolished outposts were rebuilt over the preceding year. He warned that the approaching olive-harvest season could bring heightened tensions and said weak intelligence and early warnings divert soldiers from rest and training to prevent clashes.
