New-Home Sales Rise 0.4% as Second-Hand Deals Fall 17.2%

Israel recorded 21,390 home sales from March through May 2026, down 10.6% from the previous three-month period in unadjusted figures but up 2.4% after seasonal adjustment. New-home sales totaled 8,910 and edged up 0.4%, while 12,480 second-hand transactions represented a 17.2% decline. Government-subsidized purchases accounted for 28.9% of new homes sold, and the Central and Southern districts led total transactions. At the end of May, 84,130 new homes remained for sale, equal to 28.9 months of supply, with the inventory trend broadly stable since December 2025.
