Nor'easter Leaves Tens of Thousands Without Power as Coastal Flood Warnings Persist

A Sunday tally based on PowerOutage.com data put electricity outages above 90,000 customers across six northeastern U.S. states as a nor'easter affected the region. It included approximately 37,450 customers in New York and 29,740 in Connecticut, with more than 21,000 of New York's outages in Suffolk County. The National Weather Service kept a coastal flood warning in force for northeastern Suffolk County through 6 p.m. EDT Sunday. It forecast 2 to 2.5 feet of inundation above ground level in vulnerable areas, adding a flood threat to the storm's widespread power disruptions.
