Zelensky Says Ukrainian Pilots Will Soon Begin Rafale Training in France

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 5 that Ukrainian pilots would soon begin training on French Rafale aircraft in France after a call with President Emmanuel Macron. He said new French defense deliveries were being prepared and that a package was expected to reach Ukraine soon. The leaders discussed Ukraine’s defense needs and continued work to localize production of French missiles and aerial bombs in Ukraine. Zelensky also said preparations for the FREYJA system were advancing and that the two leaders would discuss the cooperation in greater detail at a meeting.
