South African police said Gauteng’s Political Killings Task Team arrested a second suspect in the murder of Economic Freedom Fighters member Monica Dube on Tuesday evening. Investigators said an intelligence-driven investigation linked the 39-year-old man to the killing. Dube, 44, was shot dead in front of family members at her Wallmannsthal home in June 2026. Police said the suspect was expected to appear in Cullinan Magistrate’s Court on October 7, 2026, facing a murder charge. Sipho Mahlangu, arrested in July 2026, has appeared in the same court several times and remains in police custody.
