The Israel Airports Authority announced on October 7 that a planned exercise will take place at Herzliya Airport on Thursday, October 8, from 13:00 to 16:00. During the three-hour exercise, increased movement of emergency, rescue and security forces is expected in the surrounding area, including fire and rescue vehicles. The authority said the activity was arranged in advance as part of its training programme and stressed that the exercise is not a real emergency.
