Drone Strike Near Erbil Wounds Eight Kurdish Opposition Members

Residents of Erbil also heard explosions from air-defense activity as attacks continued across Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region. Iran and Iran-backed Iraqi militias have previously attacked sites in the region, where U.S. forces and armed Iranian Kurdish opposition groups are present.
