Redis Cuts Roughly a Quarter of Its Israel Workforce

Redis is preparing to cut roughly one quarter of the workforce at its Tel Aviv research and development center, according to five reports published Monday. The Israeli-founded database software company employs about 300 people in Israel and about 1,300 worldwide. Most reports put the local reduction at about 75 positions, while another estimates 75 to 80 and one calculates 27 percent, or roughly 80 jobs. Redis declined to comment on what it called rumors and speculation; the company said its Israel center remains its largest development site worldwide.
