Fetterman Sets Anti-Israel Democratic Platform as His Exit Red Line

U.S. Sen. John Fetterman said he would leave the Democratic Party if it formally adopted an anti-Israel platform, calling that position his red line and a matter of moral clarity. The Pennsylvania Democrat said he has no imminent plan to change parties and described a House vote by more than 100 Democrats to block Israel aid as symbolic, but warned an official party position would be different. He also defended continued operations against Hamas and Hezbollah leadership. Fetterman linked his declining support among Pennsylvania Democrats to his outspoken backing of Israel and did not say whether he would seek reelection in 2028.
