Four People Receive Preventive Treatment After Rabid Dog Found in Neve Tzuf

The Health Ministry said four people who were exposed to a rabid dog in Neve Tzuf have received preventive treatment. The medium-sized brown dog was confirmed infected after the ministry received notice on July 29. Officials urged anyone who, or whose animals, contacted the dog or another stray in the area from June 24 through July 9 to contact the Ramla district health office or their nearest health office urgently. Parents were asked to check whether children touched suspicious animals, while pet owners were told to verify vaccinations with the municipal veterinarian.
