Dudi Appel Identified as Central Suspect in Alleged Asset-Concealment Case

Dudi Appel was identified Wednesday as the central suspect in an alleged asset-concealment case after a publication restriction was lifted. Investigators suspect the developer, in bankruptcy proceedings since 2012, concealed real-estate rights worth tens of millions of shekels and moved assets under his control. Former Likud lawmaker and party court president Michael Kleiner and businesspeople Yaffa and Yitzhak Dayan are also suspects; all four were questioned Monday and released. The Dayans' lawyers said their clients had done nothing wrong, and all suspects retain the presumption of innocence.
