Iran Forms Economic War Headquarters for Wartime Business Support

Iran’s Economy Ministry has formed an Economic War Headquarters to coordinate and accelerate solutions for businesses and other sectors facing wartime disruptions. Deputy Economy Minister Morteza Zamanian said its initial work covers trade, financing, tax and customs relief, bank facilities, and financial instruments. He said problems requiring powers beyond the ministry will go to the government’s Economic Commission and Economic Headquarters. The unit is intended to identify disruptions centrally, keep multiagency matters from stalling in bureaucracy, maintain goods and services, and reduce supply-chain interruptions.
