The government approved a NIS 39 million funding model to improve salaries for teachers in Haredi kindergarten networks by recognizing their seniority for budget calculations. The decision calls for online personnel files recording each teacher's grade, seniority and benefits, with reporting deadlines through the end of 2026 and penalties for networks that do not comply. United Torah Judaism chairman Moshe Gafni had conditioned his faction's support for the attorney-general powers bill on advancing the funding measure. The approval completed that demand while retaining a reporting mechanism for accountable public funding.
