Kadima-Tzoran Baby's Heartbeat Returns After Prolonged Resuscitation

An approximately one-year-old baby girl who drowned in a private swimming pool at a Kadima-Tzoran home regained a heartbeat after prolonged resuscitation by Magen David Adom teams. Medics said she was brought to them unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. Advanced treatment included chest compressions, ventilation and medication before her heart began beating again. She was evacuated in an intensive-care ambulance to Meir Medical Center in serious but stable condition while ventilated. The update improved the initial critical-condition report, but she remained in need of hospital care.
