New DSA Program Backs Palestinian 'Right to Resist' and Ending Israel Aid

The Democratic Socialists of America released a 2026 program recognizing a Palestinian 'right to resist military occupation,' calling for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and demanding an end to all U.S. military and economic aid to Israel. The program also calls for prosecuting U.S. and Israeli leaders over genocide allegations in Gaza. The Anti-Defamation League says DSA adopted anti-Zionism as a binding organizational test in 2025 and that several chapters supported the Hamas-led October 7 attack. DSA says its National Political Committee amended, finalized and approved the program after it was drafted from April through June.
