Temperatures Ease Slightly After Israel's Hottest Day of the Week

Temperatures will ease slightly across Israel on Monday after Sunday became the hottest day of the week. The Meteorological Service said the drop would be felt mainly in the hills and inland areas, though those regions will remain hotter than seasonal norms and the coast will stay humid. Forecast highs include 32°C in Jerusalem, 31°C in Tel Aviv and Haifa, 40°C in Beit She'an and Ein Gedi, and 42°C in Eilat. The eastern valleys and far south will therefore remain especially hot despite the modest national decline. Skies are expected to turn partly cloudy overnight.
