A 45-minute classroom intervention significantly reduced several antisemitic beliefs among 372 middle- and high-school students at nine schools in the southeastern United States, according to new Anti-Defamation League Center for Antisemitism Research findings. Students who received the lesson were 14.4 percentage points more likely to reject the claim that Jews have too much power and 15.5 points less likely to accept accusations of dual loyalty. They were also 13.6 points less likely to minimize antisemitism. Researchers detected no backlash from the intervention, indicating that even a brief, carefully designed lesson can measurably shift attitudes.
