Lithuania's military said Italian NATO air-policing fighters launched from Šiauliai and shot down an identified drone at about 00:20 local time after it approached Lithuanian airspace. The wreckage was found near Pratkūnai in Kaišiadorys district, where military and Lithuanian police secured the site. National Crisis Management Centre head Vilmantas Vitkauskas said preliminary information suggested the drone probably entered from Belarus, while its origin remained undetermined. The military said investigators would establish the aircraft's type, specifications, intended target and other circumstances before drawing conclusions.
