Private-Car Exits to Jordan Halted at Two Crossings Through September 20

From September 15 through September 20, the Israel Airports Authority is barring private vehicles from exiting Israel into Jordan through the Jordan River and Yitzhak Rabin crossings. The measure applies only to outbound private cars and is not a closure of passenger traffic. The authority cited expected congestion ahead of Yom Kippur. At Jordan River, travelers without cars may take an Israeli-side-to-Jordanian-side shuttle for NIS 8 per person; the notice gives no equivalent shuttle detail for Yitzhak Rabin.
