Lula Raises Bolsa Família Benefits 15%, Lifting Family Minimum to R$691

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed Decree 13,120 raising Bolsa Família benefits by 15%, with the family minimum set at R$691 from October. The measure adjusts payments for accumulated INPC inflation from March 2023 through August 2026. It sets the citizenship-income component at R$164 per family member, the early-childhood component at R$173 per qualifying child and the variable-family component at R$58 per qualifying member. The decree entered into force on publication and takes financial effect on the first day of the following month.
