Cognex Agrees to Acquire Haifa-Based RealSense for $500 Million

Cognex has agreed to acquire Haifa-based RealSense for about $500 million in cash, with closing expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 subject to customary conditions. Cognex said it will also establish a three-year $56.5 million cash-retention program and grant roughly $50 million in restricted stock units to RealSense employees. RealSense develops depth-sensing cameras and robotic-perception technology and expects $80 million to $90 million in 2026 revenue. CTech reported that 135 of RealSense's 180 employees work in Israel and that its Haifa operation will become Cognex's Israeli development center.
